Paper Review

You will have the option of reviewing a paper for extra credit. The review will take the form of a 5-minute presentation; it should be a summary as well as a critical evaluation of a published article. This is an exercise that you will encounter over and over again if you choose to pursue a career in science research.

Your tasks are:

By the end of week 1: Pick your top three articles from the list below, and email the instructors with your preferences. You will be assigned an article by email.

In week 3, during the lab session, make a 5-minute presentation to the class. The presentation will be followed by a 1-minute question and answer period from the class. The style of your presentation should be similar to a conference paper; in the limited time available, you want to convey the substance, advantages, and failures of the studied work.
