Individual Project
2/3 of the way through the semester, students participate in an individual project developing speech systems using angel.com software. The projects conclude with a 4 minute in-class presentation and final deliverable. Students are graded on their presentation, the design of the deliverable, the design of the system, and the functionality of the system.
Group Project
At the end of the semester, students are assigned a group project in teams of 4 developing speech systems using angel.com software. The projects conclude with a 10 minute in-class presentation and final deliverable. Students are graded on their presentation, the design of the deliverable, the design of the system, the functionality of the system, and on their contribution within the group based on peer reviews.
