This concluding unit continues the examination of the behavior of electromagnetic waves, with a focus on a range of real-world situations. Topics considered include interference and diffraction, as well as what happens when such waves pass from one material to another. This last topic allows a complete explanation of all of the properties of rainbows, including many that most casual observers may never have noticed before.
